Roots is all about restoration: the restoration of habitat, wildlife, sustainability, and a connection to place through work at Upper Newport Bay. Working with the California Coastal Commission’s Community-Based Restoration and Education program, participants engage in monthly hands-on restoration work that addresses the importance of wetland and watershed restoration.
We will be working to remove invasive plants in the Bayview restoration site to take another step toward restoring a sustainable wildlife habitat. Supplies, fun, beautiful scenery, and lunch are provided!
